The Sangguniang Bayan of Loon proudly holds the successful conduct of the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Conference 2025, held on August 7, 2025 at the Municipal Activity Center.
This year’s theme, “Kauban sa CSO sa pag-Uswag sa Loon,” reflects our shared commitment to inclusive and participatory governance. The activity was conducted by Engr. Alan Relator, Head of MPDC and Ms. Glenda A. Laude, MLGOO as resource speakers.
Spearheaded by Municipal Mayor Yul Lopez, Vice Mayor Dodong Literatus, and Committee Vice Chair on Civil Society Hon. Etel Palma Tecson, the conference aimed to:
- Emphasize the relevance of participatory governance
- Provide clear guidelines on CSO accreditation and the reconstitution of Local Special Bodies
- Discuss CSO participation under RA 7160 and other policies
- Encourage the formation of a local CSO Network
With active participation from local CSO representatives, this initiative lays the groundwork for stronger collaboration between civil society and the local government, ensuring a more inclusive and responsive delivery of public service for every Loonanon.
