The Municipality of Loon officially welcomed the month of June through the conduct of the Regular Flag Raising Ceremony No. FR-22-2026 held at the Municipal Grounds, bringing together municipal officials, department heads, representatives from National Government Agencies (NGAs), and employees of the Local Government Unit in a collective reaffirmation of their commitment to public service.

This week’s ceremony was spearheaded by the newest addition to the Municipality’s growing family of departments, the Colegio de Loon (CDL), marking another milestone in the local government’s continuing efforts to strengthen education and human resource development in the municipality.
The ceremony commenced with the traditional raising of the Philippine Flag, symbolizing patriotism, unity, and dedication to the principles of good governance. Present during the activity were representatives from partner agencies, department and office heads, LGU employees, and various stakeholders who continue to contribute to the progress and development of the Municipality of Loon.
On behalf of Mayor Cesar Tomas “Yul” M. Lopez, M.D., Municipal Administrator Dr. Lloyd Peter M. Lopez delivered the official message and expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership and personnel of Colegio de Loon for successfully hosting the ceremony.
Dr. Lopez acknowledged the efforts of the institution in becoming an active partner of the local government in promoting quality education and community development. He emphasized that the establishment of Colegio de Loon signifies another step forward in building a stronger and more empowered future for the youth and future generations of Loonanons.
“Dako kaayo ang atong pasalamat sa Colegio de Loon sa pagpanguna sa atong flag ceremony karong buntaga. As one of the newest offices and institutions under our municipality, they represent our continuing investment in education and human capital development,” Dr. Lopez stated.
During his message, the Municipal Administrator likewise relayed the Mayor’s previous communication regarding his absence from the ceremony. Mayor Yul Lopez was attending the Division-Wide Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program held at Loon Northeast High School in Barangay Bagacay Saong.
The Mayor joined officials from the Department of Education, school administrators, teachers, community stakeholders, and members of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan in the province-wide initiative aimed at preparing schools for the opening of classes through volunteerism, collaboration, and community participation.
Dr. Lopez highlighted that Mayor Yul’s participation in the Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off reflects the municipality’s unwavering support for educational advancement and its strong partnership with the Department of Education in ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.
He further reiterated that education remains among the key priorities of the administration, alongside good governance, social services, health, environmental protection, and sustainable economic development.
As the municipality begins another month of public service, Dr. Lopez encouraged all employees to remain steadfast in their duties and responsibilities. He reminded everyone that the regular flag-raising ceremony is more than a weekly tradition—it is an opportunity for every government worker to renew their commitment to serving the people with integrity, professionalism, and excellence.
He underscored the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and accountability among all departments and offices, especially as the municipality continues to pursue institutional improvements and quality service delivery through various governance initiatives.
“Ang atong flag ceremony usa ka maayong higayon aron mapalig-on nato ang atong panaghiusa isip usa ka organisasyon. Kini usa usab ka pahinumdom nga ang atong trabaho ug serbisyo adunay dakong papel sa pagpauswag sa kinabuhi sa atong mga katawhan,” Dr. Lopez shared.
As June begins, the Municipality of Loon remains committed to its mission of delivering responsive, transparent, and people-centered governance. Guided by the principles of service excellence and strengthened through collaboration among departments, agencies, and stakeholders, the local government continues to move forward toward achieving its vision of a progressive and Madanihong Loon.
