The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), informs the public of an emergency water interruption due to the shutdown of the Basac–Ticugan Pumping Station caused by an unexpected technical problem. This interruption takes effect today, November 14, 2025 (Friday) and will impact the entire Sandingan Island.
Water supply will remain unavailable until further notice, as repair and restoration works are now underway. Affected areas may experience low water pressure to no water supply, depending on the progress of the emergency operations.
The LWS Team is exerting all efforts to expedite the necessary technical interventions. Water service may be restored earlier if repairs proceed smoothly, or later should additional issues arise, such as pump pull-out, equipment replacement, or unforeseen facility downtime.
Residents are advised to:
- Store water in clean and covered containers for essential use.
- Conserve available water during the interruption.
- Stay updated through the official LWS communication channels.
