The Municipality of Loon convened at the Loon Center Ground for the Regular Flag-Raising Ceremony No. FR-06-2026, marking another meaningful gathering of public servants united by discipline, patriotism, and a shared commitment to responsive governance. The ceremony was led by Mayor Pedro M. Literatus, Jr. and Vice Mayor Jorge J. Marapao, Jr., together with the members of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan. Joining the assembly were municipal employees, partner National Government Agencies (NGAs), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Loon, and the Philippine National Police (PNP)–Loon.




















Hosting the ceremony were the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), and the Persons with Disability (PWD) Office—agencies that stand at the forefront of inclusive service delivery and social protection. Their stewardship of the ceremony underscored the Local Government Unit’s continuing emphasis on compassionate governance, equity in public service, and the protection of vulnerable sectors within the community.
In behalf of Mayor Pedro M. Literatus, Jr., Vice Mayor Jorge J. Marapao, Jr. delivered the message to the assembly. He extended his warm greetings to all present and expressed appreciation to the host offices for their leadership in organizing the ceremony. He likewise acknowledged the presence and support of the partner NGAs, particularly the PNP and BFP, the Municipal Administrator, Department Heads, members and staff of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan, Liga ng mga Barangay President Hon. Tata Laniba, and Mr. Fidel Coritico, recognizing the collective effort that sustains effective local governance.
The Vice Mayor commended the Philippine National Police – Loon for the successful conduct of the recent “Run for a Safe Loon” and the accompanying food bazaar activities, which provided an avenue for community engagement, promoted public safety advocacy, and supported local entrepreneurs and business owners. These initiatives were highlighted as concrete manifestations of the LGU’s commitment to fostering a safe, vibrant, and participatory community life, while strengthening collaboration between law enforcement and the citizenry.
Concluding his message, Vice Mayor Marapao emphasized that public service in the Municipality remains “business as usual,” reaffirming the steadfast commitment of the local leadership and workforce to serve the Loonanons with dedication and continuity. He ended with a message of goodwill, wishing everyone a productive and “Madanihong adlaw,” as the municipality collectively advances its vision of a progressive, inclusive, and service-oriented Loon—rising and shining from local to global.
