Honoring Service and Excellence at the 48th Regular Flag-Raising Ceremony

The Municipality of Loon successfully held its 48th Regular Flag-Raising Ceremony of 2025 at the Municipal Activity Center, led by Vice Mayor Jorge J. Marapao, who represented Mayor Pedro “Dodong” M. Literatus, Jr. The event gathered the dedicated Municipal Government Employees, representatives from National Government Agencies, and uniformed personnel from BFP-Loon and PNP-Loon. This week’s ceremony was hosted by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).

In his executive message, Vice Mayor Marapao, speaking on behalf of the Mayor, extended his gratitude to the MENRO team headed by Mr. Sylvio Caresosa, acknowledging their efforts in hosting the week’s ceremony. He also recognized the presence and participation of the NGA representatives—BFP-Loon led by SFO3 Gregorio R. Langcamon Jr., and PNP-Loon headed by PCPT Thomas Zen B. Cheung—as well as the department heads, the members of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan, and all attendees. He warmly greeted everyone with a heartfelt, “Maayong buntag kanatong tanan.”

The Vice Mayor shared that although he had been attending official business and activities in the previous week, limiting his engagement in some local activities, he continues to affirm the LGU’s unwavering commitment to public service. He emphasized the importance of sustaining valuable and responsive services for all Loonanons and clients of the Municipality. He further assured that the 16th Sangguniang Bayan remains steadfast in supporting the needs of every office to ensure efficient and quality governance.

Before concluding, he commended PNP-Loon Chief PCPT Cheung for his strong advocacy in reinforcing peace and order within the municipality, particularly in the fight against illegal drugs. He praised the ongoing efforts and the successful operations conducted to apprehend violators, expressing optimism that such initiatives will persist for the welfare and safety of the community.

The Vice Mayor closed his message with an uplifting note: “Good morning natong tanan ug madanihong adlaw!”—a fitting reminder of unity, service, and collective commitment to the progress of Loon.
