September 20, 2025 | Brigsland Beach, Basdacu, Loon, Bohol
Today marked a meaningful chapter in the continuing journey of public service in Loon. As part of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Local Government Unit of Loon celebrated Family Day 2025 at the scenic Brigsland Beach. The event gathered LGU officials, plantilla personnel, JOCOS workers, and NGA personnel assigned in Loon, along with their families, in a day filled with joy, unity, and reflection.

Coming right after the 40th International Coastal Cleanup, the Family Day was not only a time for fellowship but also a reaffirmation of the LGU’s collective purpose. The presence of families highlighted the often-unseen foundation of public service—the love, patience, and support of those at home who empower civil servants to dedicate themselves fully to their duties.
Mayor Pedro “Dodong” M. Literatus, Jr. delivered a heartfelt message that resonated deeply: public service is not merely a job but a calling, a vocation rooted in honesty, dignity, and compassion. His words reminded everyone that the Civil Service is the backbone of government, and that each public servant carries the responsibility of shaping a better community.
The beachside setting provided the perfect backdrop for fellowship, games, and shared laughter. Yet beyond the fun, there was a profound sense of gratitude—gratitude for colleagues who work side by side, for families who inspire strength, and for the privilege of serving the people of Loon.
As the sun set over Brigsland, one could feel the unity and renewed spirit among the LGU family. The day ended not only as a celebration of camaraderie but as a testament that when service is anchored in puso, dangal, at galing, progress becomes inevitable and community bonds grow even stronger.
Indeed, Family Day 2025 was more than an event—it was a reminder that in unity and service, the LGU-Loon family stands tall, committed, and inspired for the years ahead.
