The Municipal Government of Loon, under the leadership of Mayor Pedro “Dodong” M. Literatus, Jr., together with Vice Mayor Dondon Marapao, and Sangguniang Bayan Members Kagawad Etel Palma and Kagawad Wilo Tan, proudly joined the nation in the Kick-off Program for the National Cooperative Month 2025 held on October 2, 2025, 9:00 A.M. at the FITS Center with the theme:
“Cooperatives United in Purpose and Action, Sharing Prosperity to Build a Better World.”
In her message, Kagawad Etel Palma underscored the vital role of cooperatives in “encouraging unity, self-help, and sustainable development in our community.” She called on everyone to nurture this movement and to be guided by the values of cooperation, solidarity, and mutual progress in building a resilient and prosperous society.
The program was graced by the participation of the following local cooperatives:
- Kaabag ni BRO Agriculture Cooperative
- Loon Senior Citizens Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC)
- Loon Service Providers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC)
- Loon Small Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative
- Pig-ot Loon Women’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC)
Through this celebration, the LGU affirms its commitment to support and empower the cooperative sector as a strong partner in advancing inclusive growth and shared prosperity for every Loonanon.
