The ceremony was attended by the Municipal Employees, partner National Government Agencies (NGAs), DILG, COMELEC, the Bureau of Fire Protection – Loon, and the Philippine National Police – Loon, as the local government continues to begin the year grounded in discipline, patriotism, and committed public service.

The ceremony was hosted by the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), underscoring the importance of efficient governance, regulatory compliance, and a business-friendly environment in the Municipality of Loon. As the national colors were raised, participants collectively reaffirmed their dedication to service, governance, and unity—continuing the shared aspiration of making #LoonMadanihon rise and shine from Local to Global.

In his address, Mayor Literatus warmly greeted the assembly, saying, “Good morning everyone, good morning, Loon Madanihon.” While noting that there were no major announcements for the day, the Mayor took the opportunity to emphasize key activities, collaborations, and reminders essential to sustaining effective local governance.

The Mayor first expressed his gratitude to the BPLO and BIR Offices for leading the day’s ceremony and for their vital role in the processing of new and renewal business applications, highlighting their contribution to transparency, accountability, and economic activity in the municipality. He assured employees and stakeholders that any concerns or issues encountered in offices or departments may be properly raised with the concerned units to ensure timely and appropriate action.

Before proceeding further, the Mayor formally acknowledged the presence of the Municipal Administrator, the members of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan, particularly Hon. Rain Merquita and Hon. Special recognition was extended to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) under the leadership of the newly-minted Lawyer for passing the 2025 Philippine Bar Examinations, Election Officer-Loon, Atty. Olayon, and to the DILG, represented by MLGOO Ms. Glenda Laude, for their continued partnership with the local government.

The Mayor also reiterated the upcoming public safety and community-oriented activities spearheaded by the PNP-Loon, scheduled on February 8 and February 13, namely the “Run for a Safe Loon” and “Lavapalooza with CUESHE.” These activities are being undertaken in close cooperation with the Local Government Unit of Loon, the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation, and the Liga ng mga Barangay of Loon. Mayor Literatus encouraged everyone to actively support and participate in these events, emphasizing that they are not only recreational in nature but also serve as platforms to promote public safety awareness, youth engagement, and community solidarity. He expressed his appreciation for the strong collaboration among stakeholders, which he described as vital in making these initiatives meaningful and impactful.

Concluding his message, Mayor Literatus encouraged all municipal employees and partners to continue serving the people of Loon with quality, integrity, and proactive commitment, reminding everyone that effective governance is anchored on teamwork and shared responsibility. He ended his address with, “Daghang salamat ug maayong buntag kanatong tanan.”
