The Municipality of Loon proudly congratulates the thirty-two (32) registered coconut farmers, cooperative members, and young farmers who successfully completed the Training on Coconut Non-Food Products Batch 2 conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VII (ATI-RTC VII) from June 9–11, 2026 at Gazeebo de LOONdon Eco Farm, Loon, Bohol.
This three-day capacity-building program provided participants with valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in the production of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) and coconut-based shampoo, equipping them with practical skills that can be transformed into sustainable livelihood and entrepreneurial opportunities. The training also covered product processing, quality control, costing, and pricing—essential components in developing competitive coconut-based enterprises.
The Municipality of Loon, under the leadership of Mayor Cesar Tomas M. Lopez, M.D., continues to champion agricultural innovation, farmer empowerment, and value-adding initiatives that increase the productivity and income potential of Loonanon farmers. Through the support of the Municipal Agriculture Office headed by Municipal Agriculturist Jannes D. Cantones, the local government remains committed to strengthening the coconut industry by promoting skills development, enterprise creation, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Special recognition is likewise extended to ATI-RTC VII, headed by OIC-Center Director Vianney T. Ojerio, Project Officer Mr. Jeffrey Awas, and resource speaker Ma. Reina P. Perez of the Loon Small Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative for making this meaningful learning opportunity possible.
