The Municipality of Loon proudly celebrates another milestone in its journey toward excellence in public service after being recognized as the Best in PuroKalusugan Activities and Milestones during the Department of Health – Center for Health Development Central Visayas (DOH CV-CHD) National Healthy Workplace and Sustainable Systems (NHWSS) Midyear Performance Review and Kamustahan Session held at Luxu Hotel & Resorts in Panglao, Bohol.
Emerging among the 47 municipalities of the Province of Bohol, Loon earned the prestigious recognition for its exemplary implementation of innovative and sustainable community-based health programs that continue to bring quality primary healthcare closer to every Loonanon.
This remarkable achievement highlights the Municipality’s unwavering commitment to responsive and people-centered governance through strengthened primary healthcare services, active community participation, and meaningful intersectoral collaboration. It reflects the dedication of the entire PuroKalusugan Team, whose passion and commitment have transformed public health initiatives into impactful programs that genuinely improve the lives of the people.
A major factor behind this recognition is the successful implementation of the PuroKalusugan Continuity of Care System (PCCS)—an innovative patient navigation and follow-up mechanism that ensures continuous monitoring of patients, strengthens coordination between healthcare providers and communities, and guarantees that no Loonanon is left behind in accessing essential health services.
The award also affirms the Municipality’s steadfast commitment to innovation, sustainability, and compassionate healthcare delivery. Through initiatives like PCCS, the LGU continues to strengthen its healthcare system beyond the walls of its Rural Health Units, bringing essential services directly to the barangays and ensuring that every resident receives quality and continuous care.
