The Municipality of Loon convened at the Municipal Activity Center for the Regular Flag-Raising Ceremony No. FR-16-2026, led by Pedro M. Literatus, Jr. and Jorge J. Marapao, Jr., together with the 16th Sangguniang Bayan. The gathering was attended by municipal employees, partner National Government Agencies (NGAs), including the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Commission on Elections, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine National Police, reaffirming a collective commitment to discipline, patriotism, and responsive public service.
Hosted by the Quality Management System Office, the ceremony highlighted the LGU’s continued pursuit of quality service, compliance, and operational excellence—a reflection of its commitment to making #LoonMadanihon rise and shine from Local to Global.
In his opening message, the Mayor warmly greeted everyone with “Maayong buntag kanatong tanan,” expressing gratitude to the Quality Management System Office for successfully facilitating the ceremony. He acknowledged the presence of Municipal Administrator Dr. Lloyd Peter M. Lopez, the LGU department heads, national agency partners, and QMS personnel, including Municipal Audit Officer Ms. Lileth, recognizing their vital roles in sustaining efficient governance systems within the municipality.
A key highlight of the address was the reiteration that the Executive Order on energy conservation and regulation of public activities remains in full force and effect. The Mayor emphasized that while fiesta celebrations across barangays are allowed to proceed, strict compliance with regulations must be observed. Night activities are limited to one event per celebration, and the prohibition of disco-related activities remains enforced. These measures, he noted, are essential in promoting discipline, safety, and responsible energy use across the municipality.
In a lighter yet sincere note, the Mayor extended a personal invitation to all LGU personnel and stakeholders to attend the upcoming fiesta in Sandingan on April 26, sharing “gamay ra among balay pero way pili—invited tanan, makakaon gyud ang tanan,” symbolizing the spirit of unity and inclusivity among Loonanons.
The Mayor also raised a timely and urgent concern regarding the increasing heat index currently being experienced. He cautioned everyone to take necessary precautions as temperatures may rise significantly in the coming months. “Amping kanunay sa atong panglawas,” he stressed, emphasizing that maintaining good health is essential in sustaining productivity and delivering quality public service. With projections of intense heat conditions lasting until May, all employees were advised to remain vigilant, hydrated, and mindful of their well-being.
Despite having minimal additional announcements, the Mayor underscored the importance of continued cooperation, discipline, and shared responsibility among all LGU personnel. He reiterated that even in the absence of major directives, the commitment to serve must remain steadfast and proactive.
The ceremony concluded with a unified call for resilience and dedication in public service, reinforcing the LGU’s mission to uphold excellence through structured systems and responsible governance.
