In observance of ASEAN Dengue Day, the Municipality of Loon, through Loon RHU 1 & Birthing Center, joins the Department of Health – Central Visayas Center for Health Development in strengthening public awareness and community action against dengue.
As the rainy season brings an increased risk of mosquito breeding and dengue transmission, every Loonanon is encouraged to remain vigilant and make dengue prevention a daily habit. Through simple yet effective actions, we can protect our families, neighbors, and communities from this preventable disease.
Remember the DOH 4Ts Kontra Dengue:
Taob – Turn over containers that can collect water
Taktak – Empty and clean water-holding containers regularly
Tuyo – Keep surroundings dry and free from stagnant water
Takip – Cover water storage containers properly
These small actions, when practiced consistently, can significantly reduce mosquito breeding sites and help prevent the spread of dengue.
Mayor Cesar Tomas M. Lopez, M.D., together with the Municipal Health Office and RHU personnel, encourages all households, schools, barangays, and community organizations to actively participate in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
Let us work together to build a safer, healthier, and dengue-free Loon. Because protecting public health is a shared responsibility, and every effort counts.
