Pursuant to the Memorandum issued by Municipal Mayor Pedro “Dodong” M. Literatus, Jr. dated April 10, 2026, a follow-up Emergency Meeting was convened at the Office of the Mayor to finalize the Municipality-wide austerity measures in response to the prevailing fuel crisis and its implications on local governance and resource allocation.

This meeting serves as a continuation of the April 8 consultation with barangay captains, ensuring that all recommendations are carefully reviewed and refined prior to their formal adoption through an Executive Order.
During the deliberation, key inputs were presented by attending officials which contributed to the refinement of the proposed measures. Among these were the appeal from the SK Municipal Federation to proceed with previously initiated youth activities, considerations on budget allocations for SK programs, and the recommendation that barangays which have not yet commenced their respective leagues may be allowed limited conduct within their jurisdiction, subject to regulation.
It is emphasized that these discussions represent selected highlights of the meeting, which directly influenced and modified the final draft of the Executive Order, ensuring that it remains balanced, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the community.
The Mayor underscored the importance of grounding the policy on the collective sentiments gathered during prior consultations, affirming that the voice of the people remains central in shaping responsive local governance—particularly in regulating upcoming barangay celebrations, including fiestas and Foundation Day observances.
The Municipal Government expresses its appreciation to all concerned offices and officials whose participation contributed to the completion and issuance of the Executive Order, reinforcing a unified, disciplined, and people-centered approach in addressing current challenges.
