The Municipality of Loon formally commenced the week through Flag Raising Ceremony No. FR-20-2026, led by Tubig-Loon Spring Park together with municipal officials, employees, national agency partners, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan.
During his message, Mayor Yul began by expressing his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who extended prayers, support, and assistance to his family during their recent bereavement, acknowledging the compassion and solidarity shown by the people of Loon.
As the Municipality prepares for the upcoming ISO Surveillance Audit, Mayor Yul emphasized the importance of maintaining quality management systems and ensuring preparedness across all offices and departments, stressing that efficient public service must continuously improve and remain responsive to the needs of the people.
Mayor Yul also shared updates on several ongoing and upcoming initiatives of the local government, including developments concerning school infrastructure projects in Loon, assistance programs for tricycle drivers, and the anticipated distribution of 10-kilo rice assistance to 3,000 qualified families in the municipality by June.
He likewise called on concerned offices and implementing bodies to fast-track priority projects already lined up for implementation, emphasizing that development efforts must not only be reflected within the municipal hall, but must also be genuinely experienced by the communities and the barangays.
Sharing his recent visits to the upland barangays of Tiwi and Cansubayon, Mayor Yul highlighted the importance of extending government services even to remote areas through infrastructure support, basic services, and community-centered programs. During the visits, assistance was extended for the procurement of solar street lights in Barangay Tiwi to help address the community’s concerns on nighttime visibility and safety, while support was also provided to Barangay Cansubayon for the purchase of a water tank intended to strengthen local water access and basic public utility services.
Mayor Yul emphasized that these initiatives reflect the Municipality’s continuing commitment to ensure that government programs and services reach even the farthest communities of Loon.
The regular flag raising ceremony concluded with Mayor Yul Lopez recognizing the continued efforts of barangays, frontline offices, health workers, agriculture personnel, and law enforcement agencies in sustaining effective governance, quality public service, and inclusive development throughout the Municipality of Loon.
