Municipality of Loon Rolls Out 2026 Fisherfolk, Boat Registration, and Boat Insurance Schedule

The Municipality of Loon, through the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) headed by Ms. Jannes D. Cantones, officially announces the conduct of the Fisherfolk Registration, Boat Registration, and Boat Insurance for Calendar Year 2026, scheduled to run from January 6 until April 23, 2026, covering identified barangays across the municipality.

This initiative aims to ensure that all municipal fisherfolk and their fishing vessels are properly registered, documented, and insured, in line with national fisheries regulations and local governance standards. The scheduled per-barangay registration allows for an organized, accessible, and efficient process, ensuring that fisherfolk are able to avail themselves of essential government services without unnecessary delays or travel burdens.

Through this activity, registered fisherfolk may continue to benefit from government programs, livelihood assistance, disaster risk mitigation support, and safety coverage provided through boat insurance. The registration also strengthens the Municipality’s fisheries database, enabling better planning, policy formulation, and targeted interventions to support the sustainability of Loon’s coastal and marine resources.

All concerned fisherfolk are strongly encouraged to take note of their respective barangay schedules and prepare the necessary requirements to ensure smooth and timely registration. The Municipal Agriculture Office assures its continued commitment to serving the fishing communities of Loon through inclusive, responsive, and people-centered programs that promote livelihood security and responsible fisheries management.

Further details, including the specific barangay schedules and requirements, shall be disseminated through official channels of the Municipality of Loon and the Municipal Agriculture Office.
