The Rural Health Unit of the Municipality of Loon, under the guidance of Municipal Health Officer Dra. Lamparas, has released an official advisory outlining the standardized steps for the application of Sanitary Permits for food handlers. The advisory aims to ensure proper health screening, promote food safety, and protect public health across the municipality.
Under the prescribed process, applicants are first required to register upon arrival at the RHU, submit the necessary specimen, and obtain a priority number. This is followed by a client interview conducted by RHU personnel, which includes photo capture for new applicants. The submitted specimen is then forwarded to the laboratory for examination, after which the Sanitary Permit is released upon completion of all requirements.
The Municipal Government of Loon encourages all food handlers and concerned establishments to comply with this advisory to help maintain high standards of sanitation, prevent food-borne illnesses, and uphold a safe and healthy environment for all Loonanons.
