The Municipality of Loon successfully conducted the 49th Regular Flag-Raising Ceremony of 2025 at the Municipal Center Ground, led by Mayor Pedro M. Literatus, Jr., Vice Mayor Jorge J. Marapao, Jr., and the members of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan, together with LGU employees, national government agencies, and personnel from BFP-Loon and PNP-Loon. The ceremony was hosted by the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC).

In his executive message, Mayor Literatus emphasized several key updates and directives for the entire LGU workforce. He acknowledged that although there will be no LGU-wide Christmas Party this year, every office may still organize its own simple Christmas celebration, provided it is conducted within their schedule and funded under their own expense. This adjustment aims to balance the spirit of the season while upholding responsible fiscal management and maintaining support for external needs where possible.
Mayor Literatus also underscored that special grants and incentives for Job Order and Contract of Service workers will be cascaded immediately, following the guidance of the Municipal Budget Office and in alignment with the official directives issued by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). He assured that benefits for regular employees will likewise be implemented accordingly, through the coordination of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Marapao.
Reflecting on recent weeks, the Mayor noted the series of class suspensions caused by typhoons and adverse weather conditions. With optimism, he expressed hope that no more storms will affect the municipality in the remaining days of 2025, allowing everyone to welcome a peaceful and disaster-free 2026.
The Mayor also mentioned several upcoming meetings within the week that will tackle administrative and operational matters. He reaffirmed the continuous commitment of LGU-Loon to uphold public service, ensure accountability, and maintain readiness in responding to the needs of the Loonanons and all clients served by the municipality.
Mayor Literatus concluded the ceremony with a message of gratitude and unity, saying, “Maayong buntag kanatong tanan.”
