The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), informs the public of a temporary water interruption resulting from the necessary shutdown of the Antaeg-Biasong Spring, Bagacay-Katipuhan Spring, Agsoso Spring, and Danicop-Ticugan Spring. The recent episodes of heavy and continuous rainfall have caused significant turbidity and muddy water conditions in these sources, prompting an immediate halt to extraction to maintain water safety and system integrity.
This interruption affects the following barangays: Pondol, Catagbacan Sur, Catagbacan Norte, Canhangdon Occidental, Canhangdon Oriental, Biasong, Badbad Oriental, Badbad Occidental, Cogon Norte, Basac, Moto Norte, Moto Sur, Napo, Lintuan, Basdacu, Tontonan, and Song-on. Residents in these areas may experience low water pressure or complete temporary loss of supply until the water sources stabilize and normal operations can safely resume.
All households are strongly advised to store sufficient clean and covered water for essential daily needs. The Municipality further requests the cooperation and patience of all concessionaires while monitoring and recovery efforts are underway.
