The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), informs the public of a temporary water supply interruption on March 10, 2026 (Tuesday) due to the shutdown of several spring water sources affected by heavy rainfall. Continuous rains have caused increased turbidity or muddy water conditions in the following sources: Antaeg-Biasong Spring, Bagacay Katipuhan Spring, Agsoso Spring, and Danicop-Ticugan Spring. As a precautionary measure to ensure water quality and system safety, operations from these sources have been temporarily halted.
Residents in the affected areas—Pondol, Catagbacan Sur, Catagbacan Norte, Canhangdon Occidental, Canhangdon Oriental, Biasong, Badbad Oriental, Badbad Occidental, Cogon Norte, Basac, Moto Norte, Moto Sur, Napo, Lintuan, Basdacu, Tontonan, and Song-on—may experience low water pressure to no water supply while the situation persists. The public is strongly advised to store sufficient clean water in covered containers for emergency household use.
The Loon Waterworks System continues to monitor the condition of the water sources and will resume operations once the water quality returns to safe and acceptable levels. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank our valued concessionaires for their patience and understanding.
For concerns or inquiries, please contact the LWS Hotline at 0921-223-4325 or send a message through the Loon Waterworks System Facebook Page.
