The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), provides an update regarding the ongoing water service interruption as of January 6, 2026. Further technical assessment conducted in Biasong (Kapaw) revealed an additional leak within the same section of the mainline, necessitating extended emergency repair works to ensure system integrity and prevent future service disruptions.
In view of this development, the unscheduled water interruption will continue until all required repairs are fully completed. Affected areas may experience low water pressure to temporary absence of water supply, particularly in Biasong, Canhangdon Occidental, Canhangdon Oriental, Ubayon, Catagbacan Sur, and Catagbacan Norte. Once repair activities are finalized, water pressure build-up and gradual restoration of supply will immediately follow.
The Loon Waterworks System respectfully advises all affected concessionaires to continue storing sufficient water in clean and covered containers for emergency use. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and deeply appreciate the public’s patience and understanding as we work diligently to restore normal water service at the earliest possible time.
