The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), respectfully informs all concessionaires of a temporary water service interruption on March 19, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, due to the scheduled general clean-up and maintenance of the Biasong–Antaeg Pumping Station, including its reservoir and intake tank. This proactive measure is undertaken to ensure the continuous delivery of clean, safe, and potable water to the community.
Maintenance activities will include the declogging of water pipelines connected to the reservoir and intake system, as well as the disinfection of water sources to uphold water quality standards. During this period, residents in the affected areas—Biasong, Canhangdon Oriental, Canhangdon Occidental, Ubayon, Catagbacan Sur, and Catagbacan Norte—may experience temporary interruption of water supply.
All consumers are strongly advised to store sufficient water in clean, covered containers prior to the scheduled interruption, ensure that all faucets are turned off during the shutdown to prevent airlocks, and allow water to run for 2–3 minutes upon restoration until it becomes clear before use. The Loon Waterworks System sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks the public for their cooperation in maintaining a safe and reliable water system.
