The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), advises all valued concessionaires of an emergency shutdown of the Moto Sur and Cogon Sur Pumping Stations today, August 6, 2026 (Thursday), to facilitate the urgent repair of a leaking 6-inch mainline located in Tangnan. This emergency maintenance activity is necessary to prevent further damage to the water distribution system and to ensure the continued delivery of safe and reliable water service.
During the repair works, consumers in Upper Lintuan, Upper Basdacu, Pig-ot, Tangnan, Cuasi, Tontonan, and Song-on may experience low water pressure to temporary loss of water supply. Restoration of water service will commence immediately after the successful completion of the repair works and the gradual normalization of system pressure. Residents are encouraged to store sufficient water for essential household needs while the emergency repairs are ongoing.
