The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), informs the public of an emergency shutdown of Cogon Norte Pumping Station 1 and 2 early this morning, May 28, 2026 (Thursday), due to the urgent repair of a mainline leak located at Cogon Norte, particularly near the crossing area of Holy Name Funeral Homes.
As a result, affected areas may experience low water pressure to temporary absence of water supply, including Moto Sur, Moto Norte, Cogon Norte, Napo, Basdacu, Lintuan, and Basac. Repair operations are currently ongoing, and restoration of normal water service will follow once the necessary maintenance works are completed and system pressure stabilizes.
The public is advised to store sufficient water for essential household use while emergency repairs are underway. The Loon Waterworks System sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused and thanks all concessionaires for their patience, cooperation, and understanding during this emergency maintenance activity.
