The Municipality of Loon, through the Loon Waterworks System (LWS), informs the public of an emergency shutdown of Cogon Norte Pumping Station 1 and 2 early this morning, May 19, 2026 (Tuesday), due to the urgent repair of a 4-inch mainline pipe leak located at Basac near P6 Gasoline Station.
As a result of the emergency maintenance works, affected areas may experience low water pressure to temporary absence of water supply, particularly in Basac, Cogon Norte, Moto Sur, Moto Norte, Napo, Lintuan, and Basdacu. Repair operations are currently ongoing, and water service restoration will commence once the system has been stabilized and pressure levels normalize.
The public is encouraged to store sufficient water for essential household use while repair works are underway. The Loon Waterworks System sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks all concessionaires for their patience and understanding.
