The Office of the President has issued Memorandum Circular No. 111, declaring the suspension of work in all government offices on Monday, December 29, 2025, and Friday, January 2, 2026. This directive is intended to provide government employees sufficient time to meaningfully observe New Year’s Day activities and to facilitate safe and convenient travel to and from various regions nationwide.
Agencies mandated to deliver basic, vital, and health services, as well as those tasked with preparedness and emergency response, shall remain operational to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of essential public services. Meanwhile, the decision to suspend work in private sector offices and establishments shall remain at the discretion of their respective management.
This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately, as issued on December 18, 2025, in the City of Manila, Philippines.
