Highlights:
During this week’s Flag Raising Ceremony, Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) and Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) for leading the ceremony with honor and unity. He also warmly thanked all employees and participants for their active involvement in the recent 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration, especially for their enthusiastic participation in the early morning Fun Walk — rain or shine.
Mayor Relampagos reminded everyone of another meaningful milestone ahead: the 272nd Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Loon on June 22, 2025. This year’s celebration carries even greater significance as it marks the official launching of the Municipal Flag and the culminating year of service for some elected officials in their current terms.

He also shared his hopes for a momentous development — that the Loon Municipal College will soon be realized, possibly within this month or the next. A dream project that aims to strengthen access to education and opportunities for Loonanons.
This year’s foundation day theme focuses on Loon’s ISO journey — emphasizing good governance, a quality management system, shared leadership, enhancement of culture and arts, and the promotion of business and innovation within the locality. Mayor Relampagos expressed confidence that these pillars will lead to better public service and a more citizen-friendly local government.
In closing, he called upon all municipal employees to continue giving their utmost dedication, despite challenges, criticisms, or imperfections. He reminded everyone of the importance of practicing respect, humility, and courtesy in the service of the people — because at the heart of governance is compassion and professionalism.
Together, let’s move forward with purpose and pride.
