Highlights:
During this morning’s Flag Raising Ceremony, Hon. Mayor Elvi Peter L. Relampagos extended his heartfelt gratitude to the Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office (MCR) and the Municipal Budget Office for graciously hosting the program. He also commended the initiative of installing the new office signages, which now serve as clear markers for LGU employees to line up in an orderly and dignified manner during flag ceremonies—a simple yet significant improvement to foster unity and discipline in public service.
The Mayor also took the opportunity to recall and celebrate the resounding success of the 272nd Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Loon, held just yesterday, June 22, 2025. In particular, he highlighted the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected and re-elected municipal officials, a symbolic and solemn affirmation of the people’s trust. He expressed his sincere hope and confidence that the next chapter under the new leadership will bring even greater service delivery, progress, and inclusive growth for all Loonanons.
In line with the municipality’s ongoing commitment to good governance and safety, Mayor Relampagos proudly awarded a Certificate of Commendation to three outstanding personnel of the Loon Municipal Police Station for their exemplary service and bravery. Special recognition was given to PMAJ Rey Olar, Chief of Police of Loon, for his effective leadership and coordination in maritime safety enforcement.
Also commended were PMSg Bombie Bustillon and PSSg Christopher P. Ramirez for their direct involvement in a successful anti-illegal fishing operation on the night of May 31, 2025 within Loon’s municipal waters. Their courageous actions and commitment to the protection of marine resources strongly align with the municipality’s advocacy for sustainable coastal law enforcement through the Bantay Dagat Program.
These acts of valor and discipline demonstrate what it means to be true stewards of public service—guardians of both land and sea. The entire Municipality of Loon expresses its deepest appreciation for their dedication, professionalism, and contributions to peace, order, and ecological integrity.
Together, let us continue to uphold excellence, integrity, and service for a “Madanihon” Loon—rising and shining from Local to Global.
