In today’s 28th Regular Flag Raising Ceremony, Mayor Cesar Tomas M. Lopez, M.D., delivered an inspiring and comprehensive Executive Message, outlining the progress, challenges, and direction for the Municipality of Loon as it forges ahead under his leadership.

Mayor Yul opened his message by expressing his heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support, teamwork, and cooperation of all municipal employees, department heads, barangay leaders, and stakeholders during his first weeks in office. He underscored how unity and collaboration are vital to sustaining “Loon Madanihon” as a symbol of service excellence.
Execom Outcomes for Improved Service
He reiterated key outcomes from the recent Executive Committee (Execom) meeting, emphasizing that these meetings are instrumental in harmonizing operations, addressing process gaps, and ensuring that service delivery aligns with the ISO Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
Notable Updates & Recent Milestones
1️⃣ Operation Klaro: Restoring Vision, Restoring Lives
Mayor Yul proudly reported the success of Operation Klaro, the free cataract and pterygium surgical mission hosted by Loon, with around 900 patients from across Bohol given the chance to improve their eyesight. He gave special recognition to RHU I, RHU II, and the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) for their dedication to this life-changing mission.
2️⃣ Colegio de Loon: Moving Forward
The Mayor shared updates on the evaluation of Colegio de Loon, highlighting that the institution is on track to comply with recommendations from CHED Regional Office to fully accomplish its purpose of providing quality higher education for Loonanons.
3️⃣ Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels: Access Brought Closer
He commended the successful conduct of Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels, which enabled LGU employees and constituents to easily process Pag-IBIG Fund requirements and access services that secure their welfare and financial stability.
4️⃣ Empowering Cooperatives: PCDO Visit
Mayor Yul noted the visit of the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) and their district-wide consultation and coordination meeting hosted by LGU-Loon — a meaningful step in strengthening local cooperatives and boosting their sustainability.
5️⃣ Nutrition Month: Health and Wellness First
The Mayor highlighted the ongoing Nutrition Month Celebration, underscoring its significance in promoting equal access to health and wellness for every sector of the community.
6️⃣ ASF Emergency Measures: A Proactive Stand
Addressing the emerging threat of African Swine Fever (ASF), Mayor Yul recounted his emergency meeting with Governor Aris Aumentado and the swift convening of all Barangay Captains to activate the Barangay ASF Task Force. He issued clear instructions to tighten security measures and monitor swine movements — stressing the parallels of containment to COVID-19 prevention.
