On May 8, 2025, the Ceremonial Hall of the Provincial Capitol of Bohol was filled with dedication and commitment to cultural education as the Municipality of Loon team convened for an essential Training Workshop on the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines hosted by the Provincial Government of Bohol through the Center for Culture and Arts Development (CCAD) and the Bohol Arts and Cultural Heritage (BACH) Council in partnership with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) to deepen the understanding of the heraldic code of the Philippine flag specifically enhancing knowledge and understanding of the Republic Act No. 8491.

Led by our passionate Municipal Administrator and Culture & Heritage expert, Mr. Reynaldo P. Monreal, alongside representatives from various offices including HRMO, QMSO, Website Management and QMS Training & Advocacy, as well as Congressman Natalio P. Castillo Memorial Hospital Administrator, Ivy Piscos Miranda, RN, this workshop highlighted our collective aim to deepen our understanding and appreciation for the rich symbolism embedded in our national flag.
The event provided valuable insights into how these symbols reflect our history and values as a nation while underscoring the importance of preserving Filipino heritage for future generations. It was an enlightening day filled with discussions on how we can effectively advocate for knowledge about these codes within our municipality and beyond. By empowering ourselves through this training, we reinforce not only our respect for national pride but also strengthen community ties that cultivate informed citizens who appreciate their cultural roots deeply!
