n line with the Municipality of Loon’s continuing efforts to promote technology, innovation, and digital transformation, the Local Government Unit of Loon, in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), officially commenced the first day of a 3-day Training Workshop on Data Privacy and Conceptual Framework today, June 17, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, held at the Colegio De Loon Computer Laboratory, located at the heart of Loon Town Square.
Designated focal persons from each LGU office actively participated in the workshop, which is designed to build their foundational understanding of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and to align all offices with a shared framework in support of the municipality’s digital transformation roadmap.

This initiative reflects LGU Loon’s strong commitment to creating a secure, responsive, and citizen-centered digital environment, where information is managed ethically and efficiently — ensuring both public trust and compliance with national standards.

As we move toward a more connected and technologically empowered future, this workshop serves as a crucial step in strengthening our systems, protecting personal data, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability in local governance.
