Loon Municipal Police Station Kick-off Ceremony for the 28th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month Celebration for the Calendar Year 2023

The month of July every year was declared as Police Community Relations Month as per Presidential Proclamation No. 764 that was signed on January 24, 2005 which aims to develop closer interaction between the police and the community in handling peace and order concerns. This celebration is an opportune time to strengthen community participation in crime prevention and it also forges stronger partnership and community support in peacekeeping and public safety programs of the PNP.

This year, 2023, the Philippine National Police celebrates the 28th Police Community Relations Month with the theme: “Serbisyong Nagkakaisa para sa Ligtas at Maunlad na Pamayanan” and Loon Municipal Police Station led by the Chief of Police (OIC), PCPT VICTOR P TAGSA, JR conducted kick-off ceremony together with the partner advocacy support groups and force multipliers on July 3, 2023.

During the activity, Pastor Cyrus F Candawan, Loon MPS Value Life Coach, led the opening prayer to bless the celebration which was followed by a welcome remark of PSMS Leonora M Molina, Chief PCR PNCO, as well as delivery of the statement of purpose and short background of the said celebration.

The main highlight of the said activity was the giving of certificates of appreciation to the partner advocacy support groups and force multipliers, namely, Municipal Traffic Enforcers (MUTRE) represented by Loon MPS value life coach, Pastor James L. Bacolongon, Bantay Bayan Bohol Provincial Crime Watch Inc. (BBBPCWI) represented by Mr. Alexander M. Luzon and Love Philippines Movement, represented by Mr & Mrs. Wilfredo Digdigan, Jr as well as our faith-based volunteer partner and value life coach, Pastor Cyrus F Candawan.

The awarding was followed by the inspirational messages coming from the Chief of Police (OIC), PCPT TAGSA, Mr. Digdigan, Pastor Bacolongan, Mr, Luzon and Pastor Cadawan, respectively in which all of them were very grateful and thankful for the appreciation as well as the continuous support and cooperation of all the plans and programs of the PNP towards the betterment and progress of the community with the guidance of the Almighty God. The program was concluded with the closing prayer led by Mr. Digdigan and photo ops.

Lastly, in line with the 5-Focused Agenda of the Chief PNP PGEN BENJAMIN C ACORDA, JR, particularly on Community Engagement which puts primary significance on public participation and involvement to realize sustainable peace, safety and progress for the country, the activity was just the start of the month-long celebration and series of activities were already prepared in partnership with our stakeholders and community partners and she was looking forward for the success of those activities as well as that the kick-off ceremony celebration was made possible and successful with the active support and cooperation of the PNP personnel of this station.
